Spring and the Liver

In Eastern Medicine, Liver is the organ of Springtime!  This season is a great time to cleanse and nourish the liver by eating bitter foods like lemon and dandelion greens. The liver will also benefit with the practice of spinal twisting postures like the deer and side bending postures, like Triangle Pose.  Bending to one side, in Triangle, will squish the liver pumping toxins out and bending to the other will open the area to let freshly oxygenated blood in.
